In 2000 I learned about the innovative ways in which a company called IDEO develops value for its customers with product- and service design. Ever since, I have been passionate about finding creative ways to generate value. Whilst completing a post academic course in Strategic Business Development in 2006 I learned that I am especially interested in general management challenges on the intersection of strategy, business development and innovation. Colleagues describe me as an ‘intrapreneur’ and as a ‘doer of things that need to get done’. I can offer 25 years of lessons learned from creating value in complex service- and technology driven industries throughout Europe and beyond, in summary:
- Building and leading teams of up to 40 people, within strategic business development, solution development, innovation, sales, operations and consulting in incubator / accelerators, matrix-, line- and project organisations, in smaller companies and in large multinationals.
- Developing the strategy for and building a market leading innovation company from scratch.
- Initiating market expansion projects combined with new business models. A typical example was a program that I started where unused infrastructure was redeveloped into real estate and wind energy parks.
- Influencing the eco-system, developing and introducing autonomous solutions since 2016 together with partners.
- Coordinating the development of an international production joint venture. I was also responsible for the team that developed and sold international services for this joint venture.
Dutch born (1969), happily married and the proud father of 2 wonderful daughters. We have been living and working in Sweden since 2008. In my spare time I enjoy water- and winter sports, riding bikes and motorcycles, being outdoors, travelling and spending time with friends and family.
I have worked and travelled internationally throughout my career and I am multilingual; English, Swedish, Dutch and German. With a healthy fascination for innovation and tech I would particularly like to develop my career in these fields.
